Lily Springs Vineyard

Our Chardonnay program will focus on the terroir of Lily Springs Vineyard. Some 20 miles south of our Abbott Claim Vineyard (Yamhill-Carlton AVA), our steep hillside site looks out at the Coast Range and the Pacific beyond. Lily Springs Vineyard is a sloped rock field, receiving the brunt of the oceanic winds funneled through the Van Duzer Corridor. The Eola-Amity Hills offer up a mosaic of volcanic soil types, including Nekia and Jory. Our remarkably shallow topsoil is shot with shale and sprinkled with fossils and petrified wood. All of this overlies an ancient marine shoal.

We planted Lily Springs Vineyard in 2021. While those vines mature, we are lucky enough to have strong and long-lasting relationships with X Omni and Temperance Hill, two legendary Chardonnay vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills. Prior to our planting at Lily Springs, we also sourced fruit from the iconic Seven Springs Vineyard in the same appellation.
